Legal Translation Services in Dubai

Certified Legal Translation in Dubai

Need a document translated for use before a UAE court, government authority, embassy, bank or company? Legal translation is required when an official or legal document must be presented in a language accepted by the receiving authority. For Dubai Courts, documents in another language must be legally translated into Arabic by a translator approved by the UAE Ministry of Justice. For more then a decade GloboPrime provides legal translation services in Dubai for personal certificates, powers of attorney, court documents, academic qualifications and commercial agreements. We handle English to Arabic and Arabic to English translation, with additional languages available for documents submitted in the UAE and overseas.

Why Is Legal Translation Required in the UAE?

Legal translation is required when your document is written in a language that the court, government department, embassy, bank or other receiving organisation does not accept. It allows them to read and verify the information needed to process your application, legal matter or transaction. Legal translation does not change the information or legal authority in the original document the translated version must reproduce the same names, dates, terms, rights, obligations and limitations in the required language.

Legal translation is commonly required for:

  • Spouse and family visa applications: marriage certificates, birth certificates and divorce documents can require Arabic translation for UAE residence and family sponsorship applications.
  • Embassy and consulate applications: Personal and legal documents submitted to a foreign embassy can require translation into the language accepted for that country’s procedure. For example, a marriage certificate submitted to the Spanish Embassy can require Spanish translation, while documents intended for another country must follow that embassy or consulate’s language requirements.
  • Birth and marriage certificate use: birth certificates, marriage certificates and other civil documents can require translation before they are accepted by a ministry, civil registry, immigration authority or foreign embassy.
  • Court and legal cases: contracts, court judgments, affidavits, notices and supporting documents must be translated when the court requires them in another language.
  • Power of Attorney: a POA can require legal translation before it is used by a court, bank, embassy, company or government authority.
  • Business and company documents: contracts, board resolutions, company records, licences and agreements can require legal translation for banking, government submissions or legal use.

Documents We Translate in Dubai

Marriage Certificate Translation

We translate civil marriage certificates, court marriage certificates, church marriage records and Nikah Nama documents for spouse visas, family sponsorship, marriage registration, embassy and consulate applications, legal proceedings and overseas use.

Names, marriage dates, registration details and official endorsements must match the original document. Passport spelling should be provided where names need to be transliterated into Arabic or another language.

Birth Certificate Translation

We provide birth certificate translation in Dubai for child residence visas, dependent sponsorship, nationality applications, school admissions, embassy procedures and civil registration.

The translation must correctly reproduce the child’s name, parents’ names, date and place of birth, registration number and issuing authority. Send both sides when stamps or registration details appear on the reverse.

Power of Attorney Translation

We translate General and Special Powers of Attorney for property transactions, banking, company representation, court cases, government procedures and certificate retrieval.

The translation must preserve the exact powers given to the representative, including any restrictions and validity period. If the POA will be used outside the UAE, GloboPrime can also handle the required Power of Attorney attestation and embassy legalisation.

Court Documents and Legal Notices

We translate court judgments, legal notices, affidavits, pleadings, settlement agreements and documents submitted as evidence.

Documents filed in Arabic-language UAE court proceedings can require Arabic legal translation. DIFC Courts operate in English, so documents filed or served under the DIFC Courts Rules must be in English.

Degree Certificates and Academic Documents

We translate degree certificates, diplomas, transcripts, mark sheets, school certificates and experience letters for employment, university admission, professional licensing, immigration and government applications.

The translation must keep the original qualification title, university or institution name, subjects, grades and dates. Translation of a degree does not provide attestation, recognition or UAE university equivalency.

Contracts and Company Documents

We provide legal translation for:

  • Memorandum and Articles of Association
  • Trade licences and incorporation certificates
  • Board and shareholder resolutions
  • Employment and service agreements
  • Sale and purchase agreements
  • Non-disclosure agreements
  • Distribution and commercial contracts
  • Financial statements, audit reports and banking documents

For related company documents, the company name, registration number, defined terms and signatory details should remain consistent across every translated document.

Same-Day and Online Legal Translation in Dubai

Same-day legal translation is available for eligible documents, subject to the language, page count and submission time. Send the complete document and your deadline so that availability can be confirmed before payment.

You can begin your request online through WhatsApp or email. Where an original digital PDF is available, send that file so that all pages, endorsements and document details remain readable. GloboPrime coordinates translation with the required attestation process so that both are prepared for the intended submission.

Documents Attestation & Legal Translation in Dubai

Legal Translation, MOJ Attestation and MOFA Attestation

If your original certificate is already attested by UAE MOFA, it can still require legal translation when the authority receiving it requires another language. For example, an English marriage certificate with MOFA attestation still needs Arabic legal translation when Arabic is required for the application. Attestation of the original document does not automatically authenticate a translation prepared afterwards.

A translation stamped by a UAE Ministry of Justice registered legal translator is not the same as completing MOJ attestation of the translator’s signature. When the embassy or receiving authority requires the translation itself to be authenticated, the translation must complete the required MOJ attestation and UAE MOFA attestation before further embassy legalisation.

When Are Legal Translation, MOJ and MOFA Attestation Required Together?

A UAE-issued Arabic birth certificate, marriage certificate or other document intended for use in Italy provides a practical example. The required process is:

  • UAE MOFA attestation: of the original UAE-issued document
  • Arabic to English legal translation: by a translator recognised by the UAE Ministry of Justice
  • MOJ attestation: of the translator’s signature
  • UAE MOFA attestation: of the authenticated translation
  • English to Italian translation: by a legal translator accepted by the Italian Embassy
  • Italian Embassy attestation: for use in Italy
