Degree certificate attestation is mandatory in UAE for Securing a UAE residency visa or applying for Ministry of Education (MoE) Equivalency. The UAE government mandates that all foreign educational certificates go through a specific legalization chain from the issuing country to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) in the UAE.
GloboPrime handle this entire attestation process for educational certificates issued in the UK, USA, India, Philippines, and over 120 + other jurisdictions.
We ensure your document carries the correct digital QR code required by the ICP (Immigration) and MOHRE (Labour) authorities Specifically for Levels 1 (Managers) & 2 (Specialists), where a Bachelor’s degree is mandatory, preventing rejection at the visa application stage.
Degree attestation is the legal confirmation that a seal and signature on an educational document are authentic. It transforms a local university certificate into a legal document recognized by UAE authorities (like MOHRE and Immigration) for official use.
You legally cannot obtain a skilled employment visa in the UAE without an attested degree. Under the UAE Labour Law and regulations set by MOHRE (Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation), a skilled professional (Level 1 & 2) must prove their academic qualifications. The automated MOHRE systems will not allow a “Skill Level 1” application to move forward without a verified MOFA reference number.
Do not laminate your original certificates. Many Embassies and MOFA will refuse to stamp a laminated document. If your degree is laminated, we must remove it carefully before processing, which carries a risk of damage.
Translation Requirements
If your original degree is not in English or Arabic, it must be legally translated by a sworn translator. This translation must also be attested to be accepted by the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MOHRE).
Degree Verification Rules r: As of May 2025, MoHRE and MoHESR have introduced a unified Digital Integration System to verify degrees for Skill Levels 1–4. This new system speeds up Work Permit issuance by electronically validating credentials.
Does this replace physical attestation? Not entirely. While the digital system streamlines the Labor Card approval, physical attestation (the Embassy and MOFA stamps) remains the foundational requirement to validate the document’s origin for the digital system to recognize it.

The degree attestation process for a UAE visa typically involves a strict chain of verification to ensure the authenticity of your educational documents. As of 2025, this workflow has evolved: while the steps remain the same, the method (Digital vs. Physical) now depends on your country of origin.
Here is the official process outline:
Get your original degree certificate and transcripts notarized by a verified Notary Public or the authorized educational board (Registrar) in the country where you completed your studies. This step verifies that the documents are legitimate and issued by a recognized institution.
Take the notarized documents to the relevant government department responsible for verifying educational certificates. such as HRD (India), State Department (USA), HEC (Pakistan), FCDO (UK). They verify the notary’s signature and provide an official state stamp.
Submit the document to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (or equivalent) in your home country. Why: They certify the authenticity of the Education/State Department’s stamp from the previous step. This is the final “home” verification.
Submit your documents to the UAE Embassy or Consulate in your home country. The New Update: Path A (Digital Countries): For countries like the UK, Pakistan, and India, the UAE Embassy now issues a Unified Digital Attestation (QR Code). this single digital step covers both the Embassy and MOFA UAE requirements. Path B (Physical Countries): For other nations, the UAE Embassy affixes a physical sticker or standard stamp to the back of the document.
Action: The final step requires validation from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) inside the UAE. The Critical Difference: If you followed Path A (Digital): You may simply verify your QR code online. If your digital certificate says “MOFA UAE Included,” you do not need to visit MOFA in person. If you followed Path B (Physical): You must physically submit your original document to a MOFA Customer Happiness Centre in the UAE to get the final stamp. This is essential for validating the document for your visa.
To initiate the legalization process with GloboPrime, you must provide the following documents. Please ensure your documents are free of lamination/plastic covers, as stamps cannot be applied to laminated certificates.
Original Degree Certificate: The physical hard copy issued by your university. (Photocopies are not accepted for the final MOFA stamp). for UK Degree attestation send us a clear, color PDF scan of your degree certificate.
Passport Copy: A clear colour scan of the passport information page.
Note: Your passport must have at least 6 months of validity remaining.
Authorization Letter: If you are not physically present to submit the documents, we require a signed “Letter of Authorization” to represent you at the Embassy or Foreign Office. (We provide this template for you).
Ensure your full name, date of birth, and other details on the degree, transcripts, and passport match perfectly. Discrepancies can cause delays or rejections.
