- Minimum Income: Earn a minimum monthly salary of AED 15,000 Housing: Have a minimum of a 2-bedroom housing contract (Ejari) to provide suitable accommodations for the domestic worker. Financial Capacity: Demonstrate sufficient financial means to support the domestic worker and cover sponsorship costs.
- Age: The maid must be at least 18 years old. For Filipino nationals, the age range is 30 to 60.
- Medical Fitness: The maid must pass a medical examination and be declared medically fit (negative for HIV and tuberculosis).
- Approved Nationalities: The maid must originate from one of the following countries, with minimum wage requirements to be considered:
- India: AED 1,100
- Sri Lanka: AED 825
- Philippines: AED 1,400
- Bangladesh: AED 750
- Indonesia: AED 800
- Other African nationalities
- Police Clearance Certificate (PCC): A PCC from the maid’s home country is mandatory for all African nationalities.
- Affidavit for Same Nationality Sponsorship: If the sponsor and the maid share the same nationality, especially for African nationalities, an affidavit from your consulate in the UAE is required.
The Maid Visa Application Process
