A UAE child residence visa allows minors to legally live in the UAE with their parents or guardians. It ensures access to education, healthcare, and the ability to enroll in schools or colleges.
Depending on your location (mainland or free zone), this visa is usually valid for 1, 2, or 3 years and must be renewed before expiry.
Both male and female expatriate residents with a valid UAE residence visa can sponsor their children, provided they meet the minimum salary requirements. Generally, the minimum salary for a male sponsor is AED 4,000 or AED 3,000 plus accommodation. For female sponsors, the minimum salary is typically higher, around AED 10,000 or AED 8,000 plus accommodation, and they might need to work in specific professions like engineering, teaching, or medicine. However, it’s important to note that profession is generally no longer a condition for male sponsors.
Sons: Can be sponsored until they reach the age of 25. Some sources mention that sons over 18 must be students under 21 and visit the UAE every six months to maintain their visa.
Unmarried Daughters: Can be sponsored regardless of their age.
Children with Special Needs: Can be sponsored regardless of their age.

For babies born in the UAE, a residence visa must be applied for within 120 days of the birth to avoid fines. This process generally involves obtaining the baby’s birth certificate and passport, followed by applying for the residence visa and Emirates ID. The process for a newborn baby visa begins with obtaining the baby’s official birth certificate, followed by applying for the baby’s passport. All the required documents, including the baby’s photographs, parents’ identification, and the birth certificate, must be gathered. The visa application is then submitted to the GDRFA, either online or through authorized Amer centers. While a medical examination is generally required for visa applications, very young infants are often exempt. The applicable visa fees are paid, and an application for the baby’s Emirates ID is initiated. The final step is the stamping of the visa in the baby’s passport.
GloboPrime will make sure your children receive their residence visa in Dubai, without much of a hassle. All you have to do is submit their documents and skip all the steps mentioned above. We will submit all the documents to the relevant authorities.

The process of Dubai Child’s Visa generally involves these steps:
Collect all required documents listed above. Ensure birth certificates (and potentially marriage certificates) are fully attested.
If your child is currently outside the UAE, you first need to apply for an entry permit. This can usually be done online via the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs & Port Security (ICP) website/app or through GDRFA channels (depending on the emirate), or via accredited typing centers.
Once the entry permit is issued, the child can enter the UAE.
Dependents aged 18 and above must undergo a medical fitness test at an approved health center in the UAE.
Within the validity of the entry permit (usually 60 days), submit the application for the residence visa stamping and the mandatory Emirates ID. This is done via ICP/GDRFA channels or typing centers. Upload/submit all required documents.
Pay the applicable fees for the visa, Emirates ID, medical test (if applicable), and service charges.
Once approved, submit the child’s original passport for the residence visa to be stamped.
The Emirates ID card will be processed and issued.
Fee Type | Estimated Cost (AED) |

Renewal is required before the current visa expires (ideally apply 30 days prior). The process is similar to the initial application but usually doesn’t require a new entry permit if the child is inside the UAE. Key documents needed for renewal include:
Renewal costs are generally similar to the initial visa stamping and Emirates ID fees.
